The Schmeisser name story is an interesting one, read it before posting to tell me Schmeisser had nothing to do with the MP40 - you might learn something, lol.

Pffffffff don't seem to have any luck today. I disassembled the M9 to clean the firing pin and to straighten the pin on the inside of the slide stop, and the pin on fire selector on the inside of the gun broke of, without even touching it. I took off the slide and the little pin just fell out of it. This means of course the end of the full auto mode

Don't know what to do anymore. Don't think this is even fixable

Just a silly question: anyone have a fire selector spare part?

I recieved the following e-mail from Francky today...

Hi cerwyn,

I think you should know that Hudson will stop running the company in couple month. Please tell the guys on forum.

Thank you

francky

Shocking news considering their recent re-launch of the MkII STEN. There's no further news as yet, hopefully someone will pick up where Hudson leave off re spares and accessories.

I've wondered about the possibility of buying a genuine PPSH41 wooden stock and transferring the Hudson model metalwork over to give a better looking modelgun.

smootik wrote:In Poland PPSh stocks appear occasionally (once every 2-3 months). Prices range from 20$ (replica) to 50-80$ (original).

Original AK stocks are much more common, priced 8-15$.

Shipping to UK (as pretty much anywhere else those days) is quite expensive though, about 50$ :-/

As I'm extremely old-fashioned in terms of the looks of the guns (don't really like the new railed-frame pistols apart from Glock & USP - and those weird-looking S&W Performance Center offerings as well) so I chose the early model instead...

Hello Guys

I think I already have a nice modelgun collection, but I' still looking for a few models.

Don't need to have them NOW at this moment, but maybe some people are thinking about selling some of their guns, and maybe now they will send me a message

So, wanted:

- Tanaka Glock 18 (I prefer the version with the place for the fingers in the grips, is it the G18C?)

- Tanaka Sig Sauer P226 silver

- Hudson Desert Eagle silver (I prefer .50, but I will also think about a .44 )

I got an All metal Wa Shan series 70 and simply put, when fired the slide does not slide back enough or at all sometimes.

I've tried using a lot of lubrication and even a smaller spring from my MGC 1911 (the slide spring underneath the barrel)

I thought it was dud caps but I've tried caps from 3 different boxes.

I may be loading the cap into the cartridge wrong because the piston is loose in there because it does not have an O-ring.

Has anybody had this problem?

Any ideas?

Thanks ...

My Tanaka Glock 18 arrived last night.

At first I was very pleased. The only noticeable difference was the weight, since the slide and barrel are plastic.

The internal workings were amazingly identical to a real Glock. (I’m in the process of moving right now but when I get my real Glock 17 I’ll post some photo comparisons.)

About an hour later the attached rubber grips fell off!

The plastic lower receiver contains massive quarter size holes underneath the rubber grips right ...

My M16 arrived last week. I started to build it and in less than 3 hours, the job was done.

Only there is a big problem with the bolt. At first, it didn't seem to 'fit' in the receiver.

Actually, the receiver was the problem, because the bolt from the M635 (also marushin, so completely the same) that I have bought from Kickback also gave the same problem.

When I just had the upper half of the gun in my hands, so just the receiver, I could slide the bolt in the receiver, but about ...

I am looking for a Marushin XM177 to use as a prop for a film in the UK. We already fulfill the VCRA requirements being a production company but my problem is where to purchase one of these.

I have only found 2 sites that deal with the UK:

Hi all.

I've brought a Colt SAA .45 from a friend (it's supposed to be a Marushin full metal silver model but I can't confirm this until I see it when it arrives) but he's not had any cartridges for it since he was using it as a display piece.

Does anyone have any cartridges for this they don't need and are willing to sell?

Obviously a Tanaka clone - slide & frame in ABS plastic (with all-metal internals incl. the barrel though)...and only roughly 1/3 the price of Tanakas...

Below is the one made before Taiwan's new toy gun law (pre-2002) in which the law required either the barrel or the slide had to be made by plastic in red or orange...

I bet it'll be more durable than the Tanakas in every way...

Hi Everyone - I'm new to the Forum and would like to ask a question surrounding the legality of currently owning Modelguns.

I started to collect several Modelguns about 8 or 9 years ago when they were clearly legal to purchase and own but I am now unsure as to where I stand. I currently own five MP40's (three MGC 68's and two Marushin ABS kits), two MGC Thompson's (the Military & Chicago versions), two MGC Sterlings, an MGC Bondshop P08 Luger, an MGC Bondshop Mac 11 and a Marushin Metal ...

Folks,

I found pictures of on an old P38 model, full metal, made by Kokusai.

Useful information I found so far are Francky's thread from 2005 on old forum:

and an interesting thread here about older "standard" cap replicas that make noise, but do not have blowback effect:

Best Vietnam M16?

I saw this back on the market on Gunbroker.com an old MGC M16.

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=144200724

Does anyone have any experience with these? Do they field strip like a real AR?

I’ve been looking for a Vietnam era M16 which field strips, has real weight, and can hopefully take real AR mags. Marushin’s looks to be the best.

What is the most realistic Vietnam M16?

I have a P220 9mm (single stack mag) for sale

It is a replica of the original model 220 which has the magazine release catch by the magazine-well at the bottom of the grip, instead of by the trigger guard.

Its a great piece, in very good condition, made from ABS (not heavyweight).

This is a reluctant sale but i need to start clearing out some of my collection to make room for other models.

Comes with 8 rounds, unfortunately no case/box.

Please PM for faster response.

Thanks.

Not sure why this modelgun sounds so quiet, other Marushin UZIs as well as my own makes louder bangs than this. Could be the video camera perhaps.

There's no doubt that this one fires beautifully though... not a single miss nor jam... lovely
