They are a great accessory for the Thompson’s.

I did look into cases for them and found that the M1/M1A1 needs this type of case as it is too long but I think the 1921/1928 versions should fit into a standard violin case because the stock can be slid off easily or left off altogether (which is what I think they did back in the 20s)

I had some fun buying a Violin case off e-Bay, I didn't care what the Violin itself was like, was more considered about internal dimensions...

Trying to explain that to some sellers, one lady asked me "You're not thinking about putting a Tommy Gun in it , are you ???..."

"Well, funny you should say that...!"

She sent me a Trilby Hat as a freebie, what a good sport eh?
