I'll have to get my UZI's out and see if the genuine mags work in the modelgun I think!

20 GBP for a used one is a tough price. I have seen them going to the scrap dealer here in Germany as the German Army cleared their armouries. IŽll see if I can still get one.

According to all the replies I've had, the genuine mag's should work with a bit of trimming of the feed lips. The spring might need replacing with a softer one, possibly the MP40 one might do.
If you have both model and genuine, I'd be really grateful for your comments about compatability.

Thanks very much again,

Cerwyn

I had a real 32rd magazine. It fitted into the Marushin UZI without problems, but the carts stayed in the magazine as the bolt travelled "overhead" and failed to take the carts out of the magazine. I gave it to a friend who wanted it as deko for his Airsoft UZI. I am quite sure I can get another one. In fact, it is easier to get the 32 rd mags, the 25 rd mags seldom show up.

The 32rd mags would be better really simply because they hold more rounds! I have a Thompson with 20, 30 and a 38rd drum. The 20rd mag is empty before you can blink.

I've 3 x 32rd mags for my MP40 and fill them all up, might still be all over in seconds but boy it's fun!

As the UZI seems to fire even faster more mags should be worthwhile.

Thanks again for all your help

UZI mags from German magazines are sometimes available in Poland on "military auctions" for around 50PLN (~10GBP). This might be a source if you absolutely need them, although international shipping cost is more than the mag (70PLN/14GBP for 1kg, 85PLN/17GBP for 2kg).

Thanks fo the info' smootik Very Happy

I've managed to get hold of another Marushin 32rd mag now as well as a genuine one and a pair of 25rders.
That should keep me happy for awhile I hope!
