Cerwyn
This model made in Ukraine (the former republic of USSR).
Sub machine gun MP38 make as the real weapon, and then make the deactivation or blank-firing replica.
If you want, I will upload additional photos.

Thanks PPU,

I'm certain that photos of the Blank Firing MP38 would be of interest. Could you please post them in the Blank Firers category

So, real MP38s are the base for the museum quality De-activated and Blank Fire converions

Yes those Ukrainian ones look like the live versions from Germany , but altered from single to auto and set to fire blank.... a big no no here though.

These MP38s are made by the new German Sport-Systeme Dittrich company isn't it (also making semi-auto MP44 & FG42 as BD44 & BD42 respectively) - I thought these are hard to be converted to full-auto...?

it would take about five minutes to make one of the SSD semi 38s into full auto

All they have done ( see the drawing) is add a bar from the trigger ( much like the Sten mech ) and the bolt travelling forward catches this bar and re-sets the sear

all you would have to do is change the sear and trigger to sear connecting bar and brrrrrrrrp Very Happy

simples !

EDIT Not that I would advocate any of the overseas owners to do such a thing , Im only talking from an engineering point of view.

plus its also one of the reasons we would never get them here ...in any calibre

Arh...thanks Doc - I just reckon Dittrich would do something extra (i.e. new mechanism/parts in different dimension etc) to make sure it'll be extremely difficult to convert their guns (the German Police did carried out numerous trials before the approval).

So in essence - even the legal .22lr semi-auto rifles in UK (namely the Rugers) can be easily modified... Question

Then how about making these Dittrich guns as straight-pull rifles?

Of course the German authorities probably figured there were not too many orig MP40 sears and trigger connectors about.

Naturally these parts could be re-made by someone but as soon as someone is able to make their own parts then building a complete gun would not be difficult .......the difference lies in the honesty of the people concerned ...having the ability to do something bad and NOT do it is what differentiates us good folk from the scumbags in the world.

Dont know about the Ruger mech so couldn't say.

Server hosting MP40modelguns undergoes maintenance this weekend. They are migrating to new servers.

Thanks for the info'
I've seen a couple of pop-ups here stating the host site is undergoing Maintenance but wasn't aware they were changing servers.
The only problems I've had have been slow loading of pages with photos and Instruction Manual scans.
Other than that, everything's been fine I hope all's well when the host site has done it's stuff.

Any problems you have, please let me know ...
