| Pffffffff don't seem to have any luck today. I disassembled the M9 to clean the firing pin and to straighten the pin on the inside of the slide stop, and the pin on fire selector on the inside of the gun broke of, without even touching it. I took off the slide and the little pin just fell out of it. This means of course the end of the full auto mode Don't know what to do anymore. Don't think this is even fixable Just a silly question: anyone have a fire selector spare part? |

| Great news! I was able to repair it The pin was broken, so I couldn't just fix it with some glue. So I drilled a 2,5mm hole on the exact same place of the little pin, through the complete fire selector switch. Then I tapped some M3 thread in it to place a little M3 bolt in it, and shortened it to the length of the original pin. Result: my baby works again!!!!!!!!!! Doesn't look so nice because you can see a little bolt-head on the outside, but I'm happy it works! Maybe in the future I can find another fire selector switch somewhere. |

| Was the firing pin metal or plastic? if you fire on full auto it can damage the pin after a while. Click on the link below. http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?11090516318422You need to open in IE8 and translate it to English. |

| Hi Denisonsmock, it wasn't the firing pin that was broken, it was about the little pin on the inside of the fire selector switch (the little pin that makes the difference between semi and fullauto). But I also have a question about the firing pin in my M9. On the manual I can see that the firing pin is placed inside the barrel with a sort of grub screw, but mine is fixed in the barrel. There isn't a screw anywere, so I can not remove it from the barrel. Is that so for all the Wa Shan M9's then??? Then another question: How can you translate a website with IE8??? |

| I thought that the breech assy (including the firing pin) is held in place by the extractor screw, once that is removed with the extractor the breech assy can be taken off the slide (although i have seen it guled to the slide as well) 8ace |

| My WaShan Dolphin's detonator pin is fixed in the barrel's chamber and cannot be removed. This isn't really a problem when cleaning though.I'll place the barrel in the Ultrasonic cleaner and / or immerse it in hot water, white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda for about 30 mins. The Ultrasonic cleaner is very effective as you can see the accumulated dirt breaking away and seeping out of both ends of the barrel.Once that's done, rinse through with hot water and dry it off.A Q-Tip, Cotton Wool Bud, or a stiff mascara brush will then remove any muck left in the chamber. It's surprising how much dirt does build up in the barrel so a good clean like this after every firing session is worth the effort. _________________ Cerwyn

| I've Windows Vista on my PC and the toolbar's "Page" button has Google Translate in the drop down menuIt's free, works well translating Japanese into English, it covers most languages so might also be worth a try _________________ Cerwyn
