OK guys here's more on my unique Colt snub nose...

The firing pin is made shorter than usual...

...so it cannot strike the primer.

I bought this early this year from a theatrical armourer who'd devoted to making these dummy guns when HK cinema & TV started to use computer-generated gun fires on their productions.

I encountered this hidden treasure by co-incidence - I intended to look for a deactivated Beretta M92FS and a Sterling SMG caught my eye...when I asked I found out that they're making 1:1 dummy guns using the same grade of steel for the real guns (and apart from the magazines no real gun part were used - every part is made from scratch).

Up until now I'd bought 4 dummy guns from him:

1)a full-size Sterling SMG (I'll upload the pics later - a Sterling shorty was made due to another customer's request);
2)a Beretta M92F(S) - I'll upload the pics later and I put bracket on the S because "M92FS" was marked on the slide but the round cap on the thumb area of the left of the frame (used to stop the slide from flying out after the US Army complained over the M92F) was neglected;
3) a Colt M1911A1 with Norinco marking (my request);
4) and this snub nose.

Please feel free to ask any question regarding these dummies ... and members from the UK please check if these guns can be exempted from the VCR Bill...

Disclaimer: I'm not in any way associated with these products apart from owning them.

That is gorgeous. I want one. I doubt whether we would be allowed that under exemption from the VCR bill though, but I could be wrong, maybe the 1911. I am looking forward to seeing the rest.

I'll send the company info to anyone interested in PM but here I can reveal their cost and availabilities (if my memory serves me right) -

Sterling: USD$1927.00
Colt Detective Special - available in both 2nd & 3rd issue: USD$ 1516.00
Beretta M92F (with FS slide): USD$1798.00
Colt M1911A1: USD$1259.00

Note:
1) If I placed a deposit before production then my Sterling might be cheaper;
2) The Beretta is an old stock sold to me in a special price - it was claimed that the original price was USD$2313.00;
3) I placed a 50% deposit on the Colt snub nose so I bought this one cheaper - now it'll cost over USD$1800...
4) The price of the M1911A1 listed above was for the ones with Colt markings on it...my special M1911A1 with Norinco marking and a chrome barrel made it cost higher...

I'm quite certain that the Sterling and the Beretta are out of stock right now & I've to wait for the next run...there might be a few DS & 1911s left...but I'm not too certain.

I sent several emails to them in recent months but maybe they're too busy now for the filmwork I didn't get any response (but I know they're now working on the upcoming Batman II which had just finished filming in HK's Central this morning...)

Usually they made prompt email responses...I might try to contact them again and maybe I'll drop by as well (only if I have time to do so between Mon-Sat: they closed on Sunday...)
