I couldn't agree more Claymore Exclamation

I've been in contact with him via youtube for some time but messages are translated from Japanese/English using PC services. Not very easy to read sometimes but we get there Wink

All credit to him, as you say, for taking the time to produce this one in English especially for us cheers
It's certainly whetted my appetite to take a closer look at my Mauser... be nice to get it firing as nice as Lucifer's...

Those Type X cartridges are fascinating aren't they Question I wonder how they assemble together Question It looks like the insert he's made to replace the normal det. pin pushes the "bullet" into the casing to ignite the cap

I must admit to being chuffed that he went to the trouble and I've thanked him on behalf of us all. He does log on as a Guest pretty regularly but finds reading English difficult unfortunately.
He is mightily impressed by 8ace's AK47 mods... he sent me a message asking if that really was a 26rd burst on your video Very Happy

I wonder if he would consider showing us how his cartridges work Wink Question

Have you seen the video of lucifer's MP40 firing his custom made titanium cartridges? These, and the Vz61 version are the forerunners to his cartridge that looks exactly like a live round. If you watch his XM177E2 and the Mauser M712 vids you'll see them. (Fascinating things!)

Have a look at his Darts video on youtube, that's a really good set of clues as to how these real-look cartridges work.

Tempting is right, but making 30 or more of these from scratch is an enormous amount of work (more's the pity)

Good aren't they
I spent a few weeks / months e-mailing lucifer about his conversions and these realistic cartridges. He's always maintained that he wouldn't make any to sell, even though I'm sure he could sell plenty of them
He wouldn't divulge details but promised to do so "in the near future". Well that Blog of his that JohnnyV links too looks like lucifer's sticking to his word

It is possible to work out how he's made the 5.56mm and Mauser 7.63mm cartridges but the sheer amount of machining work (every component part's home made) makes CNC, lathes and an engineers' head essential.

To me, that makes them all the more impressive
