| Post by fightdesigner The following is from a US News report on the upcoming court case about the almost complete firearms restrictions in DC. It shows firearms seized by the D.C. Police: Anybody else think this is an incredibly stupid way to secure a gun? Checklist Pro: Safety is on. Finger off trigger. Con: Magazine in gun. Maybe unloaded, who the heck knows, but a bad start. Hammer back. Maybe no round in the chamber, who the heck knows, but a bad start. Zip tie ON THE FREAKING TRIGGER! Score one for the DC police department, apparently... _________________ Freelance hack... and slash, and gun. | |

| Jeez it's liitle wonder they ban guns completely in DC then is it if people like the Police, who should know better, do stupid things like this! And they wonder why guns go off accidentaly and kill folks? Cerwyn _________________ Hobby collector of mainly WW2 era uniforms, headgear, field equipment and replica weapons. | |

Typical no clue authorities as well as another "photo op" for the press to show the "EVIL" guns that kill thousands in the Gun Free Utopia of the District of Columbia. Note that they have a drum magazine in the AK? in the back ground? _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still)

| Post by fightdesigner If you look at the other guns in the picture (clearer in other pictures in the article) they're doing that zip-tie-across-the-trigger thing on all of them... _________________ Freelance hack... and slash, and gun. | |

| Here's another from a Gun Stand advert at least the hammer's down on the left hand one but even though there's no magazine in either I wonder if it's safe to assume the chamber's empty in the right hand gun? | Post by fightdesigner The one on the left there, at least it prevents the slide from moving or the hammer from being cocked, so if the gun has indeed been completely unloaded, it's relatively safe there.
Unlike the one on the right or the ones in the DC evidence photo... _________________ Freelance hack... and slash, and gun. | |
