Just occured to me, but if you put this -
http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?itm=KM-SA92EC_cat_Attachments%20for%20Pistols

to any Beretta modelgun, you could then fit any silencer you wanted (with an appropriate thread).

I'll try it when i get the spare cash Beretta Silencer Icon_smile

Cool, good thinking!
I'd love to have slightly longer barrels available for modelguns that had threads and thread protectors.
Suppressors are the shit, very cool add-ons for any gun.

Hehe, yes they are indeed 'the shit' Beretta Silencer Icon_biggrin

I too would love to have a threaded barrel, but they would undoubtedly be very weak because the manufactures would have to make them from plastic Beretta Silencer Icon_sad These adaptors are metal and so have long lasting thread.

THere are other adaptors available for most models with protruding barrels (like the 92F)

Yes, weak plastic, good point....
We need full metal model guns so we can add cans and other goodies!!

How i wish that i could own that here in Sweden Smile
Gadget appeal, nice looking, excellent performance and definitely a touch of high-speed, low drag spec-ops problem-solving tool Smile

If that would stop the silencer getting blown off the gun i would get one but the silencer i have which is for the 93R and has the same grub screw for fixing gets blown off the barrel after the first shot, not good and it scares the barrel. Beretta Silencer Icon_sad

Yes, unfortunately, the somewhat weak construction of the plastic barrels (due of course, to Japanese laws) does cause problems with the application of a simulated suppressor.

Gravity and it's friend, physics also contributes to our suppressor woes..An object at rest tends to stay at rest...When a sudden force is exerted (in this case the slide and the moving barrel) the somewhat heavy suppressor remains "motion-less" and places great pressures on the barrels front/suppressor attachment point as the slide stops due to spring tension or mechanical stops.

Also, when the slide/barrel returns to battery, the suppressor/barrel attachment point is again subjected to (possible brarrel breaking) tension

Now, if the suppressor weighed "next to nothing" or was supported by the frame or slide then the problem would not be so prevalent and the barrels would last longer with the suppressors attached..

Maybe something like the Al-Gi-mec (not 1005 sure if spelled correctly) conversion for the Beretta is what you need. Should fit onto a model gun without too much problem, and would look pretty cool. I still havent sussed out quite how to attach a picture here yet, so I wont, but you should be able to find a pic pretty easily. It is the same modification as was made to the Berettas in the movie Leon and Underworld. You could probably also further modify this modification to take a screw in silencer without too much trouble. Only downside is, that since the silly ban on handguns in the uk, I do not know where you might get one. I suppose a good proper gun store would be able to help you. Until that is sussed, anyone considered getting a lasermax internal laser concealed within the recoil spring guide rod (ala Lethal Weapon 4) for thier model gun? Beretta Silencer Icon_biggrin

It mounts to the frame and creates an extention to the gun, not like a standard compensator. This should support the extra weight of the silencer without putting any stress on the barrel. Just a thought. Beretta Silencer Icon_smile

Sorry to sound stupid, but where do I get the url from? Beretta Silencer Icon_redface

No its a good question, you need to have pics posted on a site like photobucket (which is already on the web) then copy the url and paste in the forum
