There's a seperate video on there showing an M1 Garand ...

The original vid' is labelled M14 so I took that as correct, it fires in both Semi and Auto, box mag into which he loads 10 from stripper clips rather than the Garand's clip.
Francky has 2 Garands listed, one dummy and one gas operated as you say Doc.

Looking at photos etc of M1 Garands, M1A1 Carbine and M14s it certainly looks like an M14,

I'm curious now and stand to be corrected...

I reckon, the M14 really is an airsoft gun. Just checking Hudson's homepage (here's the M14 and here's the M1) and they mention "BB" in the first sentence. Further down, they write something about "external power source" like an "air tank" and they also show a tiny picture of one of those.
So I'd say it's an externally powered, shell ejecting airsoftgun Very Happy
The M1 on the other hand really seems to be non-firing, it just uses an external gas system to create the blowback and the shellejection. There's a small pic showing the M1 with a tube coming out of the stock.
I'd SO buy one of those, but I wasn't able to find a shop offering them... maybe I'll contact Francky...

These are both Gas operated modelgun, having out sourced CO2, not airsoft.
I used to own Hudson M14 gas operated, but sold in 3 or 4 month. Yeah, it is great to have blow back action, full auto for M14, but after several action, I noticed I miss "bang" sound and smell of MG cap.......gun must be operated by powder, not air.

I recently bought Hudson M1 Garand, I bought regular modelgun, not gas operated from the above reason.

I really love my Garand, sometime placing on my lap while I am watching TV.

I contacted Francky and he gave the same information like you, shazhib, that both are like GBB rifles but without shooting a projectile. Thanks for your info!
I'm highly interested in one of those, seems to be the only way to own a full auto Gasblowback gun here in Germany, as it would be forbidden if it fired a BB Very Happy

Are they (M1 and M14) available anywhere near you shazhib? If yes, how much do they cost?
Francky will check for an M14, too, but well, it's always good to have more than one source Wink

(off topic)
That's what modelguns are for :-)
I enjoy a lot sitting with the same "weapon" as a movie character I like. That's one of reasons for collecting.
Interesting that most of guns I like are German or Russian made, maybe it's because of WWII movies in Poland.
Except for "Wild West" movies with revolvers and Winchesters I did not really like American weapons (like M1, M4, M16 that are so popular elsewhere). They never attracted me that much, except for technical details.

Just for information, should anyone else be interested in one of these:

I contacted shazhib, Francky, a friend of mine with contacts in HongKong, modelguncollector.co.uk, a taiwanese airsoft retailer, who had both Hudsons listed as "in stock" and the maker of the video linked above: Absolutely no way to get one of those M14 GBBs No

The M1 Garand is more or less readily available, but it's quite a bit more expensive, as it comes with an external gastank and regulator. Price range for the M14 would have been 920 - 1050 USD, the M1 Garand always is around 1200 - 1300 USD.

Should you ever find an available Hudson M14 GBB: OH MY GOD, BUY IT!!! Very Happy
