| Hi, I've just bought a Glock 17 replica blank firer and was wondering if anyone knows who it is made by, and how to field strip it? On the right side grip it says " GAP MADE IN ITALY", and on the left side grip it says " BBM". There are no markings in the right of the slide, but on the left it says " GAP Kal 8mm K" and " made in italy". I'm currently of the impression that it's a cheap copy made by a company called BBM? and is not stripable? Any better info would be great. Thanks, Mark. | |

| we have several of these and only clean without stripping, they are not very reliable and even less so if taken apart, keep it well oiled, and not with wd40 or silcone based oil and it may be ok, | |

| doesn't it have a grub screw between the rear sight? Normally you can remove that screw, and then you can slide a little block from under te slide (backwards). Then you can move the slide completely to the back, lift it up at the back, and move it back forwards. | |

| Thanks for the replies, I'll have another look at it tonight although from memory there is only one grub screw and that's underneath the barrel.
Am I correct to think that BBM and Bruni are related? Or are they separate manufacturers?
Thanks, Mark. | |

Thanks you are quite correct, I hadn't noticed that grub screw before - Cerwyn wrote:

That's a huge help twice now you've found me stripdown instructions on youtube that I couldn't find myself I'm pretty good at finding stuff on Google, but with Youtube I guess I should be searching for less specific wording so as to get results in different languages too Thanks, Mark. | |

| Yep. Bruni I believe is the company. I've got a half dozen of those in my rental inventory. They make 'em in the full size or compact version, and also made them in 9mm front venting or 8mm plugged barrel- although the front venting are obviously hard to find in the US. | |
