PostSubject: Anatomy of a Disposable Round   Fri Apr 09, 2010 8:03 am

Ever since I have seen these disposable rounds I have been interested to find out what's inside bounce and thanks to Cerwyn who sent some through I managed to cut a fired one open Very Happy

The case is metal (I thought they are plastic) and all of the internal components are plastic which seen to be a copy of the Marushin/Wa shan system with the cap in the middle pointing to the rear of the round

Here are some pickys

Thanks for these photos 'ace

It's easier to see now why one of our members was having trouble with missfires. I suggested that perhaps gently pushing the white plastic "primer" into the case and lightly lubricating it before gently pushing it back from the other end might work.
It seemed to me that the plastic internals were sticking to the case.

Good news was that my suggestion worked for him!

All we need now is for some entrepeneur forum member to find a way of moulding plastic parts in enough quantity to make and sell us inexensive disposable cartridges in their thousands
The way cartridge supplies for Hudson and some MGC types recently, there's certainly a market here for some

Hm... I wonder if those could work in my shell ejecting gas blowback uzi... Fire 'em once in the modelgun, then use the spent ones in the gas blowback one!

Old thread revival, but those rounds have reminded me of the UTM 9mm Silent Blank Rounds and Battlefield Blank Rounds.
