Tanaka Detective

Tanaka is going to release Colt Detective modelgun around in May....finally. This will be an ABS, not HW, but exciting news for those "snubby" fans.

It's good to hear about a new model. Tanaka already had the molds from their airsoft version, and revolver does not require developing a blowback mechanism, so it's relatively easy for them. In any case - good news, and I do like these small revolvers :-)

I'm sure first it will be the 2nd version - do you know any plan for the 3rd version in the near future (i.e. similar to my dummy replica)? I wish Tanaka will release it in "steel finish" as well...and don't forget his brother with a longer......barrel: Colt Police Positive that is!

It is in ABS, bit light, but having very good feeling. Finger cross for Tanaka to make Police Positive as well.

Even with my larger hands I enjoy these small revolvers. Not always convenient to pull the trigger, but they are so fun!

What cartridge mechanism does Tanaka use? Same as Kokusai?

Yes, you screw off a bullet, set a cap inside and screw on.
