PostSubject: MGC sterling. need bolt and magazine!~   MGC sterling. need bolt and magazine!~ Icon_minitimeThu Dec 27, 2012 1:17 am

hello,

for my first post I'd like to start with the request for help in finding the needed parts to make
my model gun fire caps.

I have the MGC sterling model gun, I have included a photo of it.

I need help with a re-machined bolt, and magazine.

pardon my total newb status to model guns and this forum!

please contact me as well to offer help or suggestions.

I'll pay handsomely for a reproduction, or actual retro parts needed to make this happen@!

the magazine in the photo does not work.
and it looks like the bolt has been sheared... if there are any MGC experts here I'll be glad to gain
from your expertise!

thanks again

Welcome to the Forum Bondservnt Very Happy

It sounds like you have one of the Display Only models that MGC produced for Export. The sheared bolt you mention is quite likely one that's been ground accross the boltface to stop the bolt stripping cartridges from the magazine. The following post should give you some more information hopefully:-

I would suggest you check your barrel and chamber (as in the post above) first. If all is well, you will need a Detonator Pin too if you intend firing cap-loaded cartridges with your Stirling. Set up properly, the Stirling fires very well Very Happy
Please let us know about your barrel and chamber, we can advise you further then. Don't hesitate to ask, we were ALL newbies once and are only too willing to help Wink
