Hi all,

can you help me to identify the cartridges at the right of this picture ?

MGC Ingram MAC-11 Pfc

I have bought a MGC Ingram M11 to a member of this forum.
It was sold with 10 cartridges and I think this is the left box.
Later, I bought the right box through this forum.
Today (more than one year later...) I decided to check this "new" box (and other stuff) and I noticed they are different !!!
These cartridges will not cycle properly and I'm not sure if they are really compatible.
The others will cycle correctly (with a test of 10 cartridges, only one or two will jam).
Is it a new model ?
Or is it a mistake from the seller ?  scratch

Regards

I have an MGC M11 that is heavyweight material and it has those cartridges on the right. I have never tried them as I converted to the Tanio Koba Easy-CP cartridge. The easy-CP cartridges have an open, but very flat nose, too. I like the TK cartridge setup as there are no pesky 5mm cartridge o-rings to deal with.

My instructions indicate mine may be from 1995. Perhaps there could be an updated cartridge design on newer MGC releases?

It is easy to convert to Tanio Koba Easy-CP cartridge ?
Are the TK's cartridges reliable ? (misfires ? jams ?)

The only conversion step I took was to change the detonator. No other changes besides the carts.

Often times I have to "tune" my models to fire reliably, but for this one I really did nothing else besides lubrication and ensuring smooth bolt travel. In my experience, the HW models are a bit more "picky" in this area than the ABS models.

I have a video posted up of my M11 HW using the Easy-CP carts. I had zero problems with a 20-round mag load.

Seem to work great and super easy to clean up! Minimal parts. 7mm caps. Zero O-rings!

You will have to buy some spare plastic "inners" to keep on hand, though. They basically look like a 7mm cap shell with a hole punched in it.

By the way, I did see another M11 HW for sale recently and the picture showed both types of cartridges as seen in your post! Who knows.....

I'd recommend giving the Easy-CP carts a try for your M11.
