Ok more C-Tec rounds, i am getting confused with what is what with C-tec, so far the seem to have 9mm luger, 9mm luger mild kick and now these ones. They seem to perfom really well but could one of our Japanese friends explain the difference to me as unusually in the modelgun world it seems i have too much choice.

Claymore,

In C-tec 9mm rounds, they have

1) normal
just a normal single cap 9mm PFC

2) double cap
Double cap for larger "bang", but the power wise, it is the same as normal one

3) mild kick
single cap, but bit mild kick from normal by shorten an inner cartridge body(means shorter stroke for pushing back a slide).

Bun in general, C-Tec rounds are good for firing.

Does either of you know whether the C-Tec .45 ACP rounds will work in a Hudson M1A1?

Not tried them in the Hudson but the only problem i see is the head of the round as its not flat like hudson or mgc thompson rounds its conical, i would suspect that if the c tec round is little longer its going to smash into the end of the chamber. All that said they work fine in the CAW thompson and that is based on the Hudson so i get a feeling they will work fine

Depending on your Thompson, you may also have to consider the opening width on the nose of the carts. If I remember right, the Ctec round opening is the same as or similar to the CAW 45/1911 round, which is smaller than the MGC Thompson round. This may prevent the round from working if you're using a cut-down Hudson Thompson CP deto. Just something to check.

I know I used the CAW 45/1911 rounds in one of my Hudson Thompson's that had a custom deto pin that was thinner than the original and it worked great.
