Generally I like the WE gbbs very much altho they get a very easy life in my collection , as rarely if ever fired .
I was excited to hear about these new models with the FN already in the UK in small numbers but best of all , a Steyr Aug Military GBB to come in the new year !
Have been unable to find details as yet but hopefully to come soon !
Does anyone have further info or other similar new models ?

Hi Carl - have to say neither of those (especially the P90) do anything to stir me into buying, but yes, WE have no doubt done a Sterling (I wish) job on them. Bull Pup, or whatever the hell you call them are not my thing. They are getting rave reviews though from the wider Airsoft community.

Each to their own I guess .
To me it just reflects how airsoft is moving on with modern ( ish ) models where as modelguns generally do not - mores the pity .
Modern airsoft kit is extremely impressive and getting better .
Not so bothered about the plasticcy FN but the AUG to my mind is as iconic as you can get .
I had the Tokyo Marui aeg version and it was awesome - really well made with a realistic takedown and bolt function but a GBB version would be better yet .

Absolutely agree with you mate - I guess I'm just a bit of an old 'stick in the mud', when it comes to this hobby, though I never thought I'd buy an M4 but I did
The rate at which Airsoft moves is truly amazing as you say and in equal measure is doing well to satiate the appetites of young and older alike. For instance, I never thought Kwa would realistically release their MP40, primarily because it perhaps won't appeal to the mass of 20 somethings that constitute the bulk of Airsoft, and because their is so much duplication behind it. I am glad to have been proved wrong in this instance!
The Steyr is an iconic design and one that will no doubt sell really well. When is that due to be released??

Not a lot of info as yet but one or two pics if you google : WE AUG GBB .
Best of all is this - and the FN - are fully licensed so will be able to have Steyr trademarks !!
Think they are due for release in 2016 but WE are keeping quiet so far on the aug
A definate purchase for me I,m afraid

I would probably buy the Steyr as well, but second hand after someone has had their fun with it a few months down the line. This is a very fickle hobby and the discerning collector can get a bargain, when the 'run around the woods' Skirmishers have had their fun. A couple of WE P90's have already appeared in the Zero In classifieds just a few months after release..

I have a few WE airsoft GBBs, too, and I'm pretty happy with them. When it comes to long arms, though, in my opinion GHK builds even better GBBs, so I'd rather go for their AUG (they just announced it recently, just like WE)

There is one now on zero in going for just £200 in vgc near mint
Very very tempted at that price but just blown my Christmas gun budget on a lovely .45acp auto pistol ( deactivated )

This is a good time of year to buy GBB's - out of season with most skirmishers, coupled with the Xmas purse strings usually produces a good bargain!!
Re GHK, I agree they are better made, but in many respects WE have upped their game enough and improved their quality control, so as to produce a good product that comes in at a good price. I don't see the point in paying £100 - £200 more for a GHK gun that isn't necessarily that much better. Better yes, but not light years better imo.. They also don't have a broad enough range as WE does. I'd love GHK to do something like a Sterling...
