anyone ever try to make/modify magazines for modelgun use? seems like there would be a more inexpensive alternative...

Magazines are usually hard to make and modify properly, and the modelguns are very sensitive to spring pressures if the magazine spring is too strong it will add too much tension to the cartridges and make it harder to push the cartridges into the chamber which slows the bolt/slide down and causes jams.

Besides, real gun magazines can be expensive too!
