Adding gas tube and hand made heat shields to Marushin XM177E2

I have heard that some have added a custom made fake gas tube to the Marushin M16 series, making it look more realistic (like the MGC models).

I found a nice detailed review on the internet, sadly the text is in Japanese only, but the pictures explain very well what has been done.

I like the metal heat shields he made for the handguard. Really nice work.

It looks like he used a special front pivot / take-down pin (maybe G&P) that reduces the play between Marushin's upper and lower.

Yes, it looks to be one of G&P or Ratech's magic pivot pins. Good way to take up the slack between upper and lower receivers.
