| The later model Hudson Thompson seemed to have some really poor zinc mag catches. The earlier versions seemed to be just fine.
MGC is also made of zinc, just better quality like the old Hudson catches. The MGC will not fit the Hudson unfortunately.
You can make a real Thompson M1A1 catch work for you, but it will take a little fitting work and even then it is not perfect in function (in my experience). It looks great and won't break though!!!!
If you can get your hands on an earlier production Hudson catch, it should treat you just fine.
