US: Colt XM177E2 AR15 For sale

See updates in comments, I had assumed this was the Heavyweight Plastic version as per the box, but sounds like maybe it's the ABS? In used condition (as most are now) but in box, with your choice of a 20 or 30 round magazine depending on the look you're going for - the 20 round better gets at the original vibe of the XM177, but I will say it sticks just a tad going in, while the 30 round slips right in smoothly.

Also includes tools shown, and 10 carts. Full trademarks, even a serial number.

No damage as far as I can tell, bolt's in good shape, only slight rust on the magazine. Haven't fired it in over a decade, but I cleaned it when I did.

Update from MadMike, and I'll take his word for it (this is just how I received it years ago)

"saw your nice MGC XM177E2. I had one for many years and it was great. The box is from a later M-725 version tough, so it is misleading: your model is made from more shiny ABS. But it is more durable than the later HW models as the plastic was more brittle."

I can only recommend this model if someoe is after a nice, realsitic and well firing M-16 replica from MGC. The ABS version may be more shiny and slightly lighter than the later HW models, but it is for sure more durable. If you are looking for a model you'd like to fire, the ABS version is the way to go.
Note the magazines. They are the eralier ones with a nice and realistic grey finish, much more realistic than the later blued ones. They come with a plastic follower that was working better than the later alloy follower MGC used. The magazines alone are almost unavailable today in Japan.
This set is a great chance, especially for someone located in the USA.
