Hi all

anyone know if a real steel ar15 bolt catch fit on a marushin xm177?

am asking because the bolt catch on my marushin xm177 has snapped off and marushin seems to be out of them at the moment.

Maybe not a good way to go mate, real steel and bolt trigger assemblies a big no no over here, have you asked francky as i am sure he can get one for you rather than the risk of real stuff and to be honest you would have to import it anyway which wont be easy or advisable

While claymore is exactly right on the real parts issue in the UK, I am not sure that the small bolt "key" latch that holds the handle closed while the bolt is open would raise any red flags as it is really a simple latch. However, the latch is really a simple piece that could be made quite easily and not bring on the possible problems that the importation of real parts might cause you.

I do not believe the bolt catch would be a "go directly to jail" part Real Steel M16 Bolt Catch Icon_smile If you could import one I say go for it. I can't see anyone giving two shits about such an insignificant part.

Kel,

i've bought items from Clayton's before, no problems at all, very helpful IMHO. he offered me sale or return, i told him that the items were for a model and that fit may be an issue, he seemed to understand.

good luck,

GaRy:)
