| Post by Jez_JRP In terms of reliability and build quality, which do you guys think would be the better buy? Neither of them are really very expensive and I do fancy adding one to my collection. I don't plan to fire it very much but it'd be wonderful if bits didn't snap off it when I did Any opinions from owners are very welcome. | |

| Post by Claymore If you plan to fire it stick with mgc as i guarantee the tanaka will break. i have the mgc but not the tanaka so i cannot compare but the mgc looks good and is a good weight, as yet i have not fired it though | |

| Post by Claymore OOPS!! how could i forget the wa shan. yep got to agree the wa shan is a great model full metal, barrel as well so great weight not as detailed as the mgc as far as markings but that never worries me, i have not fired it yet but popping round to kickbacks to give it a blast soon so i will let you know how it fires. | |

| Post by Jez_JRP Ahhh of course! I totally forgot about Wa Shan. Do let me know what you think of it. Would it be possible, you think, to use double-cap loads safely in a full metal modelgun? Breaky cast-metal trigger bits are more likely to put me off than inaccurate trademarks I must admit... one I can sort easily, the other I can't. | |

| Post by Claymore dont reccomend 2 caps in any model gun apart from the marushin ones that are made for it, you will not get any more noise or flash from 2 caps but the power will destroy your gun. That said you can get some rounds from Francky that are triple cap 1 cap supplies the power the other 2 effect, i have some of these rounds but have not had the chance to fully try them soon as i do i will post results on the forum | |

| Post by Jez_JRP It's not noise or flash I'm aiming for really... anything like that I can add in post-production anyway it's more the force of the action, getting the shells to fly out faster and harder. But, if it'll just screw up the gun I shan't bother. | |

| Post by Claymore What models are you using, the only model i have that does not throw rounds out hard and fast is the mgc Beretta M9, all my other models chuck rounds hard enough to damage walls. Do not use 2 caps the power will just destroy you gun in a few rounds if not the first, you may get away with it in a metal gun but even then i would not be happy. | |

| Post by Jez_JRP MGC M9, as it happens It's not bad really, I just had that niggling thought in the back of my head that it'd be nicer if the shells REALLY flew out. If there are no real benefits other than a busted gun, I'll steer clear of the whole idea of two caps! Thanks for the heads up anyway, saved me a potentially expensive mistake Anyway moving back to the Wa Shan P220, how is it in terms of general build and finish quality? Can I use - or modify it to use - regular MGC 9mm real-size rounds, or does it need special ones? Given their relatively low cost, the Wa Shan one looks like it'd be a good candidate for proper useage instead of just sitting in a box being looked at. | |
