Please Note:  Do NOT use Photobucket as from 10th July 2017. Photobucket no longer share your photos or Videos unless you pay them $399.

Please use the Forum's own Servimg.com host site which is Free of Charge.

Thank You

There are times that people would like to post pictures on this or any other forum that allows posted pictures. But, since many people have no idea how to post pictures on the web, I will try to describe how I post them myself.

To post photos,

1.You need a picture host like www.photobucket.com (free)

2. Register on their site.

3. Then, when you see image upload , press the "browse" button. This will look through your computer and find your picture files.

4. choose the picture that you want and hit the "open" button.

5. Then, hit the "submit" button.

6. When the picture appears, click in the "IMG" window below the picture with your mouse.

7. The word "Copied" will appear.

8. Go to the post on this or any forum on the net. Anywhere you want to place your picture just right click with the mouse on an open spot and choose "paste" that will place the picture code in the are that you have chosen.

9. That's it! just submit the post and the picture will appear.

I can only recommend this too.
When I was new to this forum I couldn´t post pictures, but Mark told me about the photobucket solution. I followed his instructions and it is really easy to do and free of charge. No problems at all.

Testing

This is the text that appears in FAQ "Can I post images?

Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed).

However, following up on Phil's post above, I had a go and sure enough, despite taking a bit of time to get it sorted, the system Phil pointed out works cheers and to prove it...

Hello Hogan,

I've just tried this system again, and it's worked for me (see below)

https://i.servimg.com/u/f41/12/71/67/22/ksc_be11.jpg

Assuming your "Reply" screen has the same layout as mine, click on the icons above, first one's "B" (Bold), second "I" Itallic etc till you get to the 15th icon "Host an Image". I'd already signed up for this free account so once I clicked the icon a popup screen appears giving the option to "

Upload your Image"

Browse your photo file, select the photo you require, Click "Host It"

Next Popup screen shows the File as a Image url ... Click Copy and Upload

You can then paste the photo file on the message

https://i.servimg.com/u/f41/12/71/67/22/ksc_be14.jpg

I must admit to preferring Photobucket but that's probably because I'm used to it by now

I hope this helps:?:
