Trouble that I am having is the bolt is catching on the reciever latching blot the one that locks the reviver tube in position. If I pull down slightly on the release the bolt works properly. Has anyone run into this problem? and if so any suggestions on how to fix it? mgc mp40 - MP40 Bolt Catching Icon_sad

i think receiver locking rod is little bit long or make it smooth if the tip of the rod is rough.
Why don't you take the bolt out from the upper receiver, then you put it back to the lower receiver to see what' going on inside of your mp40.

John Frenzel,

Hi and Welcome to the forums!

The dissassembly catch rod, is from time to time, a problem as it usually protudes inside the receiver enough to impeed the bolts forward and rearward travel.

Franckys method is the one that i used for my Marushin MP40 as well as my MGC...
