| Post by romagnus that is really ugly. If you want an MP5 in 22lr check this out.... http://www.onpointsupply.com/cart.php?page=gsg_5_22lr_mp5_clone This is a good gun getting great reviews! That other one is an MP5 bullpup? What the heck is the front magazine - a fore arm grip? Crazy. _________________ DPMS AP4 carbine, CZ75, Romanian AK-47, CETME 308, Russian AK-103, XD40SC, 16guage shotgun w/short barrel, Marlin 22LR.....and some others I can't remember right now.....all real. | Is that an Airsoft gun they've used in the photo? Looks like the magazine is loaded with white bbs... I'm sure DOC posted something about this gun awhile back Cerwyn _________________ Hobby collector of mainly WW2 era uniforms, headgear, field equipment and replica weapons. | |

| Post by figaro You're seeing the spring, this is helpful to see how many rounds you have left, not sure why they'd spoil the integrity of the model with this feature, but there you go, it's not BB's, but Mark seems to think the body is made from airsoft parts, which seems probable. These are useless for anything but plinking, semi-auto .22's cannot be made to work efficiently with blanks, so they are zero use for motion pictures. There's an MP44 replica that looks pretty good, They make plastic.22 MG42's, crappy AR and AK copies, too. If you're using a .22 in a tactical situation I would wager you'd find something small and lightweight, like a silenced woodsman or Ruger. I posted the shell link, because I thought it was absurd, but I should have made that clear. _________________ www.thebutcher-movie.com | |

| Post by romagnus Air soft body parts do work, but not all of them. GSG is an air soft company in Germany and this is their first "real" gun.
This gun is not intended to use blanks, it is a great target gun and a wonderful alternative to the sky rocketing prices of center fire ammo.
20 round of .223 is $15-$20 where I live and 308 is $25 for a box of 20 rounds. So to go to the range I use a 22lr and can buy 300 rounds for $11. I love my military rifles and this GSG-5 would be a great alternative and affordable. _________________ DPMS AP4 carbine, CZ75, Romanian AK-47, CETME 308, Russian AK-103, XD40SC, 16guage shotgun w/short barrel, Marlin 22LR.....and some others I can't remember right now.....all real. | Post by figaro All valid points, Romagnus. It's probably great/inexpensive fun for plinking. Sorry if I sounded negative, sir, JJ. _________________ www.thebutcher-movie.com | |
