| Haha, I could have just posted the gun firing, but the dang song was too long and I had to put some filler material in there!
I really am enjoying the new camera. My wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I told her, she said it was TOO expensive, then snuck out and bought it. It shoots great video, but you have to have absolutely bright sunlight when shooting in high speed mode. 300 fps, you can get away with less light, but at 600 and 1200, the video will look pretty dark and grainy if the light isn't ideal. Fortunately, when I use Windows Movie Maker, if I halve the speed there, the 300 fps still has decent framerate and it doesn't get too choppy.
I just posted a video in the modification area of the forums about adding weight to the bolt to see if the gun will cycle slower.
thanks for the compliments.
And YES, I am getting pretty consistant full-auto on both of my MP40's now. I removed much of the slop in the mag wells of both guns by using a little epoxy and filing that down until the mags fit snugly and in the right position. Even though I knew these guns got dirty fast, I underestimated that and learned what a difference a clean, lubed gun makes. | |

| The camera I got is the first consumer high speed camera. I can only imagine high speed will start showing up more and more on other cameras and it will only get better, faster, clearer and cheaper. You meantioned your relative had a cell phone that did 120 fps and I would have died for that after using my wife's little Sony Cybershot that had only 30 fps for so long. I worked a tremendous amount of overtime this year so we were able to splurge a little. I'm a cheapskate, and I probably never would have plunked down that money myself, but somehow, my wife buying it makes it less painful. lol | |
