| Reading about this makes me want an AK, but one that works like 8aces will. | |

| Hmmmm modelgun design consultant..... Any idea what the salary is for that I shall hopefully know by the end of the week if it all works and I hope it does for her sake as it could be a date with Mr hacksaw if she doesn’t Fingers crossed 8ace | |

| I am really impressed by your work and skills! I remember some nice modifications and custom guns you have made in the past, but this is really outstanding. Keep up the excellent work. | |

| Many thanks for the words of encouragement it has been needed as it hasn’t been as straight forward as I first thought. I thought I’d show the difference between the old and new type mags. As you can see the new and old Hudson mags are quite a bit different and have gone back to using thin steel. I have a feeling that Hudson used real AK mags and replaced the springs as they seem identical to known real AK mags New Hudson mag on top New Hudson mag on the right New Hudson mag on the left New Hudson mag on the bottom

| Success at last After much tweaking she finally works. Sadly I only have a 14 of rounds but I have put them through 3 times with 1 jam and 1 misfire I had to make some major changes. 1: Use 1x7mm cap (with longer det pin) 2: Remove the auto sear 3: Change the mag follower for old type 4: Add a spacer to strengthen the main spring

| No sadly I didn't get anymore vids done but kickback is hopefully getting some more rounds to see what it does with a full mag It's not (MGC Thompson firing) perfect as it still has the odd extract issue and I was disappointed that the auto sear addition didn't work (might need a lighter bolt assy) but I’m pleased with the results. 8ace | |

| Congratulations mate, that really is a nice job there. What magazine did you use in the end, the old Hudson one, the new Hudson one, or a real one?? | |

| Cheers Sadly the new aluminium rounds will only fit the new Hudson mags so using real ones is out. I did use the follower from the real/Hudson old one (not sure which one it came from now) as the new Hudson mag follower seemed to boat about a bit 8ace | |

| Been working on another AK modification which I have finally finished I have changed a few things from the first one by making the trunnion/bolt/bolt carrier from scratch to sort out the eject/feed problems With the trunnion I have tried to fill as much of the space around the chamber so the rounds have nowhere else to go but into the chamber The bolt is a two part unit (similar to the original AK one) but with the bolt face extended to fit the trunnion, also the extractor is more inline with the ejection port. Here it is shown with the bolt closed

Excellent work though excellent is just not a descriptive enough word for the work and skill you have put into this AK not only does it fire extremly well but it sounds superb, i really think Hudson should offer you a job. brilliant work mate brilliant | |

| Cheers guys,
I'm very pleased with how it turned out (wasn't to sure if my design would work). It uses the aluminium rounds which do help the ejection but I’m only using 1x7mm cap and not the normal 2x7mm with brass spacer as supplied from Hudson.
Oh I forgot to mention that I have used the original Hudson (zinc) hammer and hammer spring but I did add a steel insert into the hammer similar to the earlier one I did, also I have not added the auto sear.
