Mulberry Field Real Look Cartridges Empty
PostSubject: Mulberry Field Real Look Cartridges   Mulberry Field Real Look Cartridges Icon_minitimeThu May 07, 2009 1:30 pm

I have one (only) 9mm Luger Mulberry Real Look cartridge and it's basically a c.p. type just like MGCs cartridges. Same internals, same operating principle.

They also do Dummy Cartridges... take the 5.56mm M16 type for example... are these just solid dummy rounds that can be cycled through the gun after removing the detonator pin or can they be taken apart Question
Is it possible (somehow) to insert a cap into one Question

Thanks Wink

Cerwyn,

If you want to load a cap, then, I suggest to get regular CP not dummy from MF.
I think you can remove a bullet somehow, I assume what you see afterwords is just a hollow. Don't think inner size is set to load a cap.

shaz,

Thank you shazhib,

I am trying to learn how Lucifer made his Type X firing cartridges as seen on his XM177E2 and Custom Mauser M712 videos.
Have a look at them and see what you think Wink

Lucifer is a skilled machinist, I wonderd if he's modified (very much) MF dummies.

BTW shaz, did you recieve the PM I sent you Question

Cerwyn,

That's what I thought. I am assuming he may used MF dummy rounds, but there should be some kind of customization which Lucifer only knows.

Yes, received your PM.
Appreciated.

Dear Shazhib,

Glad to hear you got my PM Wink

Lucifer has challenged me to work out how his Type X rounds work Very Happy He said the challenge would be good for me Exclamation
If I manage to figure it out he says he'll tell me how they work Laughing

I think I'm almost there now Idea Idea Idea just a couple of details I'm puzzled about scratch scratch scratch

Browsing through DenTrinity's catalogue study , I notice they offer 2 different versions of Mulberry Field's 5.56mm dummy cartridges

MGAC058A, 5 rds per pack including one machined rod and one rubber 0-ring. These are specified for MGC M16 series modelguns

MGAC058, 5 rds only per pack

I understand the MGC M16 series rds have spring-loaded "bullets" which push into the casing when the rds are cycled through the gun.

Presumably then the machined rod is a replacement for the original detonator pin Question

But, what's the 0-ring for Question scratch scratch scratch

My thanks to Madmike for explaining how these Mullbery's work, Very Happy Very Happy Thanks mate Exclamation

Th 0-ring sits inside the replacement "detonator pin" which is funnel shaped and protects the bullet's tip from damage Exclamation

Another step closer to solving Lucifer's mysterious Type X cartridges Cool

Thank you 'Mike Very Happy Your photos are just what I needed Wink

It looks quite possible to modify these to fire caps. Decent seals here and there, a firing pin, Idea Idea Idea
Lucifer tells me he didn't know of MF cartridges until February this year, it seems he hasn't used these as a basis for his Type X but there MUST be very strong similarties.

DenTrinity replied about the 2 different packages too... one has the "Detonator Pin" replacement, the other pack doesn't... simple as that. Both packs contain the same cartridges.

I'm sorry to hear you've been unwell mate. I really hope you recover soon Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
