anyone ever order from redwolf? if so how was your experiance? (shipping, shipping cost, muzzle paint and trademark removal, service etc.) they dont have much of a selection, and i couldnt find shells etc. but their prices seem not so bad. ($126 for marushin m1911, $89 for walther ppk,) i was just considering this to replace my broken 1911 as it would cost almost this much for just a new slide somewhere else...i wish i could just find a more affordable slide, cause it seems like a waste of a gun.
has anyone tried to contact marushin directly? i noticed all the parts are priced in the instructions, and it looks like there is a phone number??? do they have a website?
also i was looking around endoshoji, and they just raised all of their prices...

Hi october,
No actually, I haven't ordered from them (yet!) but I am sure that I will if they start to carry more modelguns and accessorys like magazines and cartridges..
Is the 1911 that they are offering a HW or is it an ABS version? I have only the ABS versions myself 2 early side fire kits and 1 late center fire kit..
I haven't tried to contact Marushin yet, but that actually sounds like a great idea...They do have a website but I don't have the URL for it at the moment perhaps John has it...
Yes, endoshoji has raised their prices again...They where too expensive for me anyways..

the 1911 is heavy weight. the ppk doesnt say. they also have a combat commander for $117, though doesnt say if it's heavy weight...

| ****Originally posted by mark****Are you going to try another HW Government model? Usually if the box doesn't state "HW" then it is ABS model..The Combat Commander is only available as a heavy Weight version. Oh, here is Marushins URL : http://www.marushin-kk.co.jp/ | |

i really like the government model, but not so sure about the heavy weight now. do you think its a bad idea to get another one? i mean do you think i just had bad luck and got a faulty gun, or do you think they're all prone to break like that?

Well, my experiance with the HW models longevity is limited so, I am not quite sure what to expect as far as breakage...
You possibly just had some bad luck on your modelgun I haven't assembled my ABS version so, I don't know if the Marushin M1911A1 is a good model for strength/durability..

Hi October, I have ordered from redwolf and i found them to be very good.I purchased the ppk and it is the heavey weight version with full walther markings (under w.a.licence) they delivered it quickly and with no problems at all,I would recommend them especially as there prices are a lot cheaper than here in the uk.

Hi, Firstly October,i'm not sure how they remove the trademarks because as i live in the uk this is not a problem. Secondly i asked redwolf to send the item as "a gift" with a reduced price put on the customs label, this is great as you have to pay no import tax,but the problem arises if the package is lost or stolen as the insurance will only cover you for the reduced price, but i thought it worth the risk. I have since ordered from Uncompany and they also offer this solution to import tax.

ah, thanks for that bit of info, ive never really thought of asking them as id guess they wouldnt due to, as you said, the lower insurance. But i suppose if i agree to it then its binding, ill have to try that cos the import fee's are stupid over here. cheers.
