Can anyone give me any information on this box set? What year was it made in? How much did it sell for when it was released? How much is it worth now? Unfortunately the barrel is cracked. Appreciate any info.

It looks like it's just a repackaging of the RMI 1911 gun. A little more stuff in the packet than how I got mine, being just the gun only.

and what does this gun do? Is it just a modelgun? Or can you really shoot something with it??

I'm sure this is a Target Shooting system developed for PFC modelguns.
There's an Infra Red light source mounted on the gun, if I remember correctly, the sound of the cap going off switches the light on so if it's aimed at the target correctly it "scores" a hit.
