| I just got myself an AGM GBB M4.
Was after a model M4 for a while, but the asking price has been way to high for me,so i saw a review on the AGM,and with it's low price (under £200 inc shipping) thought I'd give it a go.
Well, what can i say,the thing is fantastic!,really impressed with it. The thing is a far better build quality than my Marushin xm177 and M16,really solid and heavy. And the thing is nearer to real dimensions than the Marushin's,so most real steal rail systems, stocks, grips etc all will fit.
The only down side is the lack of colt markings, and the fact that it isn't a shell ejecting.
But as a replica with all the moving parts it is top notch stuff.
And we all know that getting a model gun to do a full mag isn't the easiest thing to achieve, but with the M4,just gas it up and pull the trigger,it cycles like the real deal with a good bit of recoil too.
If you are a collector of replica weapons then this is a great gun,but looking at lots of the airsoft forums if you are wanting to fire this gun on a regular basis then you will need to upgrade some of the internal parts to a better quality. And that is another story!
Anyway i totally recommend this gun.
Try youtube AGM GBB M4,lot of stuff on there.

| The only drawback on the Chinese AGM is that they are not upgradeable. If you intend to go out skirmishing, it’s a good idea to upgrade and strengthen your pistol or rifle. | |

| Yes the AGM has a very realistic bolt, carrier, bolt catch etc, everything works as the same as the Marushin model guns. But like i said this fires BB's,so the bolt head is different in the fact there is no extractor. This short clip gives you some idea of the action. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JF0fvPX7iR4Thie AGM is a Chinese copy of the Jap Western Arms GBB M4,so all the upgrades for the WA M4 are compatible for up grades if you want to use this as a full on 'skirmish' rifle. Most airsoft suppliers sell all the many possible upgrades. And yes it's a 30 round mag,(holds 50bb's), this is the most un real-steal part of the rifle,no markings on the base plate, the ribbing isn't correct, plus this is where you fill the rifle with gas,so you have a valve on the back of the mag. But for display purpose a real-steal mag will fit. | |

| Are spares readably available for GBB in the UK? As in, can you go down the nearest airsoft shop and get what you want as long as you’re a member of a group? | |

| Yes, many parts are available in the UK for the AGM M4. I think that Tactical Quartermaster do loads, along with the parts for the WE blowback models also. The problem with some of the AGM parts is that they are cheap and break easily, but most model gun collectors are very very used to this! That said, they are great fun. Slap in a hard recoil buffer and a couple of spacers in the buffer tube and that should give you a little more kick.
The bolt carrier does indeed lock back to expose an open port Cerwyn, and the bolt release functions as it should. I have been told that the buffer tube has slightly different thread to the real gun, so WA stocks will not fit, but I cannot confirm this. If you are desperate for trades, then there are aftermarket bodies that you can buy, or of course you can have them etched in yourself, at least it is plain and has no silly wrong trades on it.
I have one that I am currently replaceing loads of parts on in an attempt to try and make a gun that looks somewhat similar to an M16 with 203 underslung, but we shall see what it ends up looking like!
