I do not seem to be the only one with this issue, in all my mails I sent to shops, I got one back from an Irish shop from wich the seller told me he had the same issue with his gun and just superglued it to fix the problem.

I did it twice, first time it got of after 81 shots.
Than I superglued it again and it holds....

110 buck is a lot for some plastic imo, so I am gonna stick to the superglue solution.
Especially since I live in Europe.

Another mail I got is with a tip to use "epoxy resin" I will do that if the tip falls off for the 3rd time.

This may seem like a silly idea to those of you with an Auto 9, as I do not have one so I am only speculating and it may not even be possible. Cant you just cut the barrel off further down and tap it to give it a new thread, then just screw in a piece of tube, metal or plastic, threadded on both ends so that it just screws in at one end and allows the cap to screw in at the other?

there is no inner barrel in the extended part...

only enough thread to screw on the tip, "enough thread" so there is nothin left to tap + it is thin plastic thread in that extended part where the tip screws on.

I cannot make pictures of how it really looks like in that extended part since I superglued the broken thread (with the tip on) together.

It broke in half with 1 half still on the tip.

Heres the orginal prop taken apart (click to see bigger image):

You could do what they have done, and make an extension to that metal part and screw it into the M93R barrel.

Heres my conversion, hope you dont mind me adding this to your thread!

So finally after ive had these two models for a while i thought i'd make a start on my Robocop Auto 9 project.

One model is the KSC Airsoft Auto 9, with Robocop style grips, barrel extension and site.

The other model is a KSC M93R PfC cap blowback model

I wanted to merge these two models to make a PFC Auto 9.

Click the thumbnails to see bigger photos

First off i removed the grips from the airsoft, there are two larger screws on each side, and one small screw which holds the lower end of the grips together.

The grips:

Next i removed the grips from the PFC. Again two screws on each side.

The grips interchange perfectly between the two models. Here is the PFC with the airsoft grips:

There are a few alterations that need to be made to the PFC to get the airsoft extension to fit.

First the fore arm needs to be removed, this includes the 'triangle' section on the trigger guard. This was easily removed with a hacksaw:

Next slots are needed on each side of the model pfc for the slots on the extension to line up with. I did these with a scapel, which is why it isnt too tidy! Thought it wont be seen anyway:

This shows the extension added to the PFC, fits great! You also need to sand the opening slightly on the extension, where the 93R barrel goes in. If you dont sand it, the barrel doesnt sit in straight.

The safety and auto switch are still able to move:

Close up of the grips:

From photos of the real prop, its appears this clip has been removed. This is an easy job:

A few shots with the magazine in and out:

The airsoft with the PFC grips:

A comparison of the PFC and airsoft in their new formats:

Comparison of the real prop and the new PFC version:

The only thing left to do is get a metal sight made, and fitted onto the PFC. The sight on the airsoft is molded on, and the internals are slightly different so i it appears i cant just swap the top slide housing over. It appears the PFC internals are glued in.

Hope you all like it. I have test fired it yet.

I certainly do like that, that'sa nice tidy conversion lewis conversion of a M93R into an Auto 9 - Page 2 Icon_biggrin

If it fires anything like this one https://mp40modelguns.forumotion.net/modelgun-videos-f2/mgc-ksc-robocop-m93r-auto9-t2105.htm you'll be needing several spare mags and boxes and boxes of KSC 9mm rds.

Let us know how it goes

Nice conversion ldr, and no problem using my thread!

A little easier then my conversion, but I guess also quite a bit more expensive as you used the KSC airsoft version.
For the rear sight, I have cut the complete slide of the airsoft version away from the rear sight. Ofcourse I was working with a relatively cheap airsoft model, so it wasn't really painfull doing it Very Happy

Cool job! It looks easy when someone has already done it ;-)
It's good that there are not too many permanent modifications required.

I hope yours will work as well as the one on video in the other thread.
KSC M93R is a pretty reliable shooter as far as my limited experience shows.

No jams...very nice.

I will try and make a video sometime.
