| Hi and welcome to the forums. aswerimg your question is not easy as it depends what you are looking for, modelguns are normally made these days of ABS plastic some are heavy weight (HW) and they are very accurate copies that allow you to fire off a round rather than a straight replica however the modern modelgun cannot replace a real fiearm and if real fiearms are legal in your country then that is the way to go. for us in the UK most firearms are illegal and what is legal is expensive and an extreme hassle to go through to get a certificate to posses so we enthusiasts stick to modelguns. They do lack the weight and feel of the real thing but are very accurate copies both in look and funtion the hartford models are very well made excellent replicas and you fire off caps that are fairly loud indoors which is fun but they do lack the weight of the real deal. So as o said not an easy question mate, all i can say is everyone on this forum is hooked on them even those who can buy the real thing so that must say somthing. | |

| Nome93,
Welcome to the forum. I have HWS Walker for my own. It is great model, you will love it if you are black powder fan.
Major difference from real stuff is, it is made from heavy weighted plastic, you can not handle it as rough as real one. Needless to say, you do not want to drop it. Or, I do not suggest rough or quick action around cocking hammer or other. Just treat it gently. If you can own real Italian replica in your country, then, I would suggest to buy that. Walker cost 39,800JPY (only with gun), but I think those Italian replica is cheaper.
Should you have further question, feel free to post or send me PM. I also own Paterson and Dragoon from HWS.
Regards,
shaz, | |
