| Bit of extra info: Hand in cut-off date for these is June 4th, after that date the Olympic .380 BBM will fall within the classification of a prohibited weapon under Section 5 of the Firearms Act 1968. | |

| I suppose the correct course of action, if one were to find an example of one of these, say whilst clearing a garage of a deceased relative, would be to hand it straight into the nearest police station. The upholders of the Queen's peace should be approacheable in such circumstances!
Although I did hear a horror story surrounding an owner of a Saxby & Palmer (Brocock) converted Lee Enfield air rifle; the said owner asked the police for advice after they became illegal to own (following the Hungerford tragedy) and they promised to get back to him. They did, in the early hours of the morning with a full armed response unit!
Simply disposing of such an item via public tip or canal would be inappropriate...... | |
