Found an album with pictures of some modelguns: CMC M1, MGC Thompson, Tanaka Springfield 1873 (?) and others rifles.

Hmm, this is interesting. I did not realize that such models existed, especially from these two manufacturers.

Tanaka Springfield 1873 seems to be a dummy modelgun. It is made of metal and wood, with SMG marking and manufacturer name shown prominently on top of chamber.

Marushin rifle 1891 is another dummy modelgun, with 133cm and 102cm length variants. It is much simpler design, but also seems made of metal and wood. No SMG marking, only manufacturer name.

Do you know anything more about these models?

(all three are currently on sale on YJA)

It's always a pity to lose good photos of quality models. There are three remaing models in photos, Hobby Fix M14, M1 Garand (Hudson A Japanese photo album. Icon_question ) and a Type 83 Japanese rifle

Copy and Paste the photos you want into your files while you still can A Japanese photo album. Icon_wink

This could be a good opportunity to say that Photobucket, one photo and video host site a lot of us use here, shuts down and deletes accounts if the "owner"doesn't visit his site in 9 months. Any photos / videos you want to make sure you'll have access to long into the future should be copied to your own files or Photobucket albums
