| Seeing as the British carriers won't ship modelguns anymore (and I can't get MGCUK to ship to me) I'm hoping someone somewhere can help me get a P38 PFC at a reasonable price! No worries about importing to New Zealand (at present). I'd like to get one just in case the laws change in the near future! ________________________________________________________

| Hi,
Marushin is going to re-produce P38 in HW, but it will be dummy rounds model, not PFC firing though...

S ...which also means Marushin is only making the most out of the old & tired P38 molds (i.e. only enough to make dummy models instead of pfc models)...hopefully if these dummy P38 proves to be a success then they'll somehow give it a "pfc transition" like the Browning Hi-Power...

| Hi Guys, I just managed to win an eBay auction for an older Marushin P38 HW military model for US$350 + postage. Estimate 2 weeks to freight New Zealand.
I'll post when it arrives and either laugh or cry!
Thanks for your posts. Cheers.

| WOW I think you're paying top dollars for this - so it has to be good ... And since you're after a firing model so I can't tell you to wait at least the end of this month for the dummy version... | |

| Well, Jim & Shazhib, (& everyone) the P38 PFC arrived by Courier after a day held in Customs! The orange plug was easily removed (just a bit of soft plastic). It needed a good dose of silicone spray, as it hadn't been lubricated in years. Stiff action, and sticking slide, and a dusty-grey colour of the surfaces. A liberal spray inside and out and left overnight to settle - and today it's operating just fine. I've noticed a little wear on the trigger bar, so I may have to try and replace or repair it in due course. What I need now are some cartridges......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will search the forum to see what's what. Just glad to have what I wanted - even for the price I paid! (US$350 + postage). Here's some pics of it nicely lubricated. And how it arrived:
The colour has now gone from a dusty-looking grey-blue to a "midnight-blue" colour - and maybe will darken with more absorption??? Anyway, I'm laughing and not crying!! ' ' Now I'm awaiting the deliver of an MGC68 MP40 from the US!.....first long arm I've import, and being all-metal, we'll see how fast it clears the system here.

| Good one John - suggest you to get the new dummy "Commercial" version from Marushin as well as to make your collection more complete (due to release by late August)... | |
