| What are "GM" annotations of MGC Colt 1911 models? Letters seem to stand for "Government" version (full size), but what is meaning of the digit?
Tanio Koba released GM-7, as if it were another in series...

| Based on information from Tanio Koba leaflet, these generations were designed in the following years: GM-1 1966, GM-2 1977, GM-3 1978, GM-4 1979, GM-5 1981, GM-5/6 1983.
Development by MGC stopped at that stage, but Tanio Koba returned with his GM-7 series following this numbering.

| I think it's Government Model ... I'm sure I read something on Shiraaya's pages about this.Military versions were Government Models, Commercial versions had several different designations.Hopefully this can be confirmed or corrected by other members _________________ Cerwyn
