| Looks like a nice RMI that were sold in the US by Collector's Armory, if memory serves me. RMI was not the manufacturer, but the label under which different models from Marushin, CMC etc. were sold. I will have to dig closer as my memory is really blurred. But we had a RMI thread here too. | |

| Looking at my 1981-1982 Collectors Armoury catalog, it's listed as the "New Police Chief Revolver. Overwhelming choice of detectives and undercover agents, this model features 5 cartridge swing out cylinder, 2" barrel, both single and double action. Length 6.25" Weight 1.5 lbs. $45 "

| Hi,
This is an MGC chief special (m36),these were made in the 80's and sold through company's like "replica models" and "Sussex armoury" here in the UK. The model I have also has the cut down firing pin on the hammer to stop it firing the caps as it was sold as a display model only here too. There is also an mgc bond shop version that came with combat grips :-) I hope this helps mate

| Here is a list of most (all?) early metal S&W M36 modelguns: http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~yon-yon/cgi/test3.cgi?Input2=M36Click on "あり" in right column to go to specific model page. S&W M36 was very popular, with many manufacturers and variations over the years. Please note that RMI model (export version of MGC with markings removed due to trademarks) does not appear here, only original Japanese ones with full markings. | |
