| I can't wait either, I would really like a good quality, realistic MP5 GBB with a good kick would suit me until somebody makes a PFC version _________________ Cerwyn

| Now an obstacle - VFC plans to release it early this year with full H&K trademarks but the real H&K (or in fact - Cybergun) playing games...the same happens for all airsoft with FN trademarks (goddamn Cybergun opened an office in HK causing all these) Teenage airsofters in Asia (Taiwan / HK) tend to forget to leave the finger outside when the action's over...and they enjoy test fire their guns inside the Safety Zone ... | |

| I did send an email to VFC asking when this will come onto the market - no response yet. I would like a definite date for release as we all want to get one.
WE are now producing an MP5.

| Not just WE - SRC will follow suit as well (just released their GBB AKS74U) - when there're other choices I'll say BYE to WE...
Keep in mind the parts for VFC are in their own dimensions so fitting with aftermarket parts/accessories might be a pain...
Another possible fault for VFC's - the bolt won't lock back when the mag's empty (i.e. just keeps firing without BB)...maybe this will be rectified once it releases...

| I wonder if KJ will get on the act as well? They do look good though, they have a realistic appeal to them. Maybe RA-TECH will come up with the upgrades? | |

| Not that I've known of...they're doing big on their co2 pistols already...I wish they can release the normal looking Ruger .22 first before anything... | |

| From my side - I was told late last year that these will be out to the streets by Feb...then March and - now I'm told May will be the month as well (can put this case in "Ripley's Believe It Or Not")... But finally - when I could finally take my GHK AKM home from the WGC Showroom last night (after some calm but sarcastic talks - I think that gun was supposed for others)...there's a GBB MP5A4 (i.e. w/fixed stock) hanging on the wall (behind the glass so no touching no image taking and apparently no test firing ). Looks nice - and only "Kal. 9x19mm" stamped on the left of this sample (finger-crossed for mass production). And as I says - no pre-order deal available yet...should I fall into this pre-order deposit "scam" again...? | |

| I suppose they needed time to fine tune it, and take note of what people said about it when they went round the shops giving them a try out? | |

| From what I've gathered so far:
1) This MP5 can fire without BBs unless you add a piece of "an insert" on the top of the mag which will cut the gas;
2) The bolt won't hold back after the last shot (not sure if the real steel behave the same way);
3) Rumour - collapsible stock will only be available as optional part (users have to swap it themselves);
4) As you guys can see - the 6mm BB & the airsoft s/n are stamped on top of the receiver instead on the left magwall: for nitpickers (i.e. ME!) this is the most VFC can achieve - hopefully Umarex won't change their minds later on;
5) No "HK slap" allowed (that cool bolt release action simply by hitting the bolt handle with the left hand) as that bolt-holding slot was made too deep - don't think anybody want to have their bolt handle snapped for cool;
6) Also - the once-promised MP5's unique "delayed rolling blowback" mechanism have been dropped for final production (proven to be too complicated & too unnecessary for airsoft);
7) Not an overly-expensive GBBR - selling at around HKD$2,500 (TWD $10,000)...
That's all folks (at the moment)...something more exciting on my next post...

| It will be good. But I'm gonna hold out for WE's. I've seen and tested WE's M16A1, and that is TOP. I've seen WE's M4 and that is TOP. Open chamber, no more piston rubbish. The WE M4 has a steel outer barrel now, and I think their MP5 is going to be the dogs. VFC are the best that Taiwan has got, better than Inokatsu. | |

| Like their G36-styled "G39" earlier on - WE can only stamp WE (or maybe even NOTHING) on their MP"?"...but to be fair, WE have improve their products a lot since this year too... My solution - get both...it won't go wrong (then have to drink less for the next couple of months in order to make up for it) | |
