Anyone tried to use real UZI grips on a Marushin MGC UZI?

I,m speaking of the pistol grips on the lower by the way, has anyone tried to swap out the grips from a real UZI to the replica one?

Mine are beggining to crack a bit. I can repair them but some new ones would be nice.

I believe the genuine grips will fit Marushin's UZI, but can't say I've tried it myself. Have a look for "Refinishing UZI" under the Search facility here, there's an article describing fitting several real items to a Marushin model including fitting the entire Real pistol grip / trigger group to the model. Unfortunately the original webpage is no longer available so photographs aren't available
If you live in a Country where these can be bought legally it might be one way to restore your model.

BTW, it would be very helpful in instances like this if your correct location was given please. it's easier to advise if your Laws and restrictions on buying real items are known. Thanks

Thanks, thats good news I'll start looking for a lower, all legal in my country, its the upper thats a problem for me legally but I dont need one.

As for country I just dont like putting to much info about myself on the net probably a bit paranoid I guess.

Genuine UZI grips are available reasonably cheaply so it'd be worth trying the grips first. A genuine lower housing could be added later.

done, I found a guy selling a lower, but he seems to have been smoking something crystaline, he wants $350 for it, hell I only paid $150 for the gun back in 1979

D and D in Arizona built my semi UZI's - but mine all had grips originally.
They did good work, quick, too.
Somewhere on this site are photos I took of an MGC next to a real UZI.

any luck out of curiousity, did they fit on the model gun?
