| I have just become the proud owner of an mp40 mgc68, it is in excellent condition, came with four magazines. I think it fires auto and single shot 9mm blanks. Has the strap as well, has Japan under the trigger guard. A good soild replica machine pistol! What it is worth I do not know? | |

| Hello Geoff and welcome to the forum The MGC68 MP40 is a wonderful modelgun to have, one of the best really. One word of caution though... you say it'll fire Blanks... make absolutely sure that it has been converted to fire Blank ammunition before attempting to do so.As standard, MGC68 MP40s are designed and built to fire cap loaded re-useable brass cartridges. These produce far less power when fired than a Blank round. If you were to try firing a blank round there is every likelyhood you'll destroy the modelgun and possibly injure yourself and/or others seriously. Real and model MP40s fired in Full Auto mode only. They fire relatively slowly, between 500-650 rds per minute and with practice careful trigger use can give controlled bursts of 2,3,5 or any number up to a magazine full if it's set up properly. If you've any doubts at all, please post up some photos of your MP40, particularly the chamber, bolt, barrel and upper receiver. A well-converted Blank Firer will be significantly reinforced and have steel working parts, not Zinc Alloy. We've seen several PFC modelguns advertised Worldwide recently described as Blank Fire when they are definately not... please be careful and absolutely certain what you have before you attempt to fire it. If in any doubt, please ask, we're only too happy to help _________________ Cerwyn

| Thanks for the sound advice about my MP40. It is not a blank firing replica, but reusable blanks. Works fine. It was given to me. I just wondering about its value. The MGC68 is in very good condition. Anyone know what it might worth? GOOD WORKING ORDER WITH FOUR MAGAZINES AND REPILCA STRAP | |
