| This is me tagging movie guns for rental - here in BC - for my next project. STG44 in picture, is a very late war, re-worked by Yugoslav army. So many rare ones here - some that I haven't seen in LA. Stechkins, Polish PM63's, Chinese bullpups. (Thought the team on this forum might like the pic) | |

| We started filming, no real set pics, but a silly one of me posing with the stunt boys. After your avatar, Smootik - I'm holding a PM63. The stunt guys behind me all have real guns adapted to blank fire. | |

| Nice touch! Thank you :-) Shot looks very good, you all must have a talent for posing to pictures ;-)
I seem to recognize Beretta M12S, UZI and Sterling - all fine firearms, all available (more or less) as modelguns!
PS: and three guys there seem to know about finger/trigger discipline ;-D | |

| Some more, from another long day at work - gun related, I suppose, but maybe of interest; A few guns ready to go to work, and they did work this morning, about 600 blanks, a light morning. A pair of PM63's - interesting, fires from an open bolt, and as the top slide is like a pistol, it is quite strange looking when it's loaded. But, I haven't seen one in a US movie armory, so I had to rent it. A pair of UZI's - the top one is Fabrique National, and is blued and beautiful, the bottom one is an israeli Parkerized one, they were just distinct variations, interesting to see them together. The grip safety is wired closed, as they often jam, with stunt men who don't immediately understand their quirks. Blued barrel nut, really pretty. Shooting the Thompson - see if you can recognize the actor. | |

| Oh WOW!! i think i will have wet dreams over that room. 600 blanks is not enough JJ i would have to fire every gun there, is the actor Dolph Lundgren? | |

| Day off today - I was very fortunately offered a free tour of the Vancouver BC Regiment's private museum, what an awesome privilege. Amongst their many incredible war trophies was this... Captured Norther France, 1945. I photographed it in detail along with their MP44 and MP40 - let me know I can post them, too. Signing off - travelling gun nut. BTW - I was contacted by a guy in the far east who is making exact plastic replicas of these. | |

| The metal resting bar on the MP40 was interesting - late war, I found one in France (AAS) on line and bought it for my MP40. The FG was an incredible example, they have the bolt and bayonet stored separately. The RSM said the Canadians of the British Colombia Regiment clashed with a group of Fallshirmjaeger, and likely this was captured with the uniforms, helmets and jump smocks they have in the museum, around 1945 in France. I like the strange plastic-like coating on the bipod, I will try and do this to my Shoei version, the receiver finish is a different color to the Shoei (which is black colored bluing), but otherwise they are very similar. | |
