| *****EDIT: Guess this maybe should go in the accessories section. Mods feel free to move ... Wanted to have a silencer just for fun. Won't try to use it with caps. Just for looks. First try at posting pic so not sure how it will be ...

| One more -- size a little distorted because of the angle. | |

| Nice job! I am always impressed to see people doing things by themselves, especially for modelguns :-) | |

Excellent work! I'd like to know how you made it. Any chance of some details?

No problem. I used 1 inch PVC pipe -- metal pipe was too heavy to mount because of the way I attached it. I got 2 metal washers that fit on the ends of the pipe perfect - 1 inch diameter - and glued them on each end of the PVC.. The only hard part was figuring out how to attach it. I didn't want to try to get into using a screw on mount because it would be a lot of work and I didn't know if I could do it anyway. Plus i saw a silencer for sale online (made by mulberry field - $57), and it seemed to use a type of "inside" mount. So I just used a wood dowel that fit inside the "barrel" tube. I attached it through the hole of the washer on one end of the silencer and glued it in. The dowel will only go into the barrel about 1/3 of an inch because there is a flat metal piece inside but it fits tight so it will hold the silencer on. Then I painted everything flat black and it was done. Like I said ... It is just for looks. I would never fire a cap with it on -- especially since it plugs the barrel and would stop any pressure release that comes out there. Hope this helps. | |
