| Hi I got all gun assembled BUT the hammer strikes very weak on the firing pin Now connecting the hammer spring and the "push rod" into the hammer part have tested my patience and the problem might rest there - but I am not sure
does anyone the suggestions ?

| Hello Christian, I have assembled a lot of M9 but I never had this problem. If your hammer is weak, it is surely a problem with the assembly. If all is ok the hammer spring is really hard, really hard to compress. The rod should be in this spring and the rod push the hammer toward the firing pin. Like that I can't believe your hammer can be weak....Check your rod is well assembled against hammer. It is possible to try the pressure of the hammer when you begin to assemble the gun : Just with hammer, rod(which is hammer spring strut) , hammer spring and hammer strut guide. Let's us know if it's better. ps: Not easy to explain especially without my best language.... | |

| Hi Momo, and others
worked on it last night Agree
All parts are fine
when metal spring housing in bottom of frame is out and only hammer and rod in all seems OK I did find an edge on the inside of the gun frame, that the rod and/or spring might ride against
I did file some of the edge away and it seem to reduce the problem, but I guess i need to get a motor tool in there to get rid of all
have anyone encountered something similar ?

| Sorry but I don't understand your problem and how you can reduce it... Maybe it's your spring housing that not push enough the hammer spring? Sorry I can't see the problem without any photos. I hope another real english man can help me because for me , not easy... | |

| Salut Momocampo! | |

| The edge inside the frame is now completely gone - and so is the problem.
apparently the upper edge of main spring could be stopped by the edge.
I have grinded the edge and polished and the hammer now falls correct on the firing pin
