| Post by Dartec Hi Kevin,
Targetguns (Found them in Gunmart), not sure if there are airsoft/model gun just a guns shop but must sell silicone gun oil etc.
They have some cartridge case for small and full bore which is how I keep my cartridges like Case-Gard by MTM.
Also reloading stuff which I am looking at for example a tray with hoels that yo uput the cartridge in to hold them while you could put the piston and caps in. Saves fumbling with my hands and fingers and all thumbs. _________________ Regards Ray Gun ethusiast and collector of modern model guns. | I've been toying with the idea of getting something like 3/4" thick wooden sheet, any size really but say 6" square, or even 12" square for ease of handling. Drill however many blind holes about 1/2" deep in a grid fashion just big enough to drop a cartridge body into so it'll be held steady. Fill all the holes with carts and there you go, no more fumbling about. Be easy to just place the caps into them, push home with the loading tool, then proceed with the firing pins etc.
Wouldn't cost anything really apart from a flat bottomed drill (a router bit would do) as I bet most of us have scrap wood in the shed somewhere.

If you had dozens to do, you could even make a 'lid' to hold the lot in place, drilled to allow a slotted dowel and wire wool into each bore to polish / clean them up. The lid would stop them pulling out. | |

| Post by Mark I like the idea of the board with mulitple blind holes for the cartridges that of course, is like the styrofoam or plastic cartridge box liners that are common (here in the U.S. at least) The MTM cases are great and they have their uses but, they are mostly useful for storing the cartridges not really reloading them. Now, if a piece of urethane or rubber of suitable thickness was found and punched with just undersized holes for the cartridges (and placed on the board) the rubber or urethane would help to hold the cartridges in place during cleaning or reloading them.. _________________ Wanted to buy: MGC Sten MK3....trades?(still)

| Post by Dartec Perhaps something like this if the hole size are similar to model gun cartridges. http://www.mtmcase-gard.com/products/reloading/reload.html I think target gun in Bolton do these or at least according to their add in Gun Mart. _________________ Regards Ray Gun ethusiast and collector of modern model guns. | These trays look ideal don't they? The idea of using rubber or urethane rather than my first thought of wood sounds perfect. It could be 'grippy' enough to hold the cases when cleaning the bores without needing a lid at all.
