Saw this on site yesterday airsoft ones are around £3000 so i hate to think of the cost of this one and whatever blanks it takes it will cost a fortune to run. If i win the lottery i want one though.

Really intersting, but this will be a mechanical nightmare making it very expensive. I hope it will be made and sold finally, but I doubt if it will ever come beyond the drawing board.

Will be much more horrible if this one can only fire in semi-auto only (without mentioning jams) ...

Don't know...if real steel semi-auto belt-fed machine guns are legal in countries such as Canada etc then maybe this one is allowed in semi-auto as well (at least for collectors)...?

There was a company (Valkyrie arms) making M134 parts kits into legal crank handled Gatling style guns for a while, they were in the tens of thousands of dollars as a parts kit is about $50K I don't think they were very good sellers.
I have a collection of semi-auto belt feds - it is where my modelgun money used to go.
IMO - I think the ad is fishing for interest - or they'd show a video, and list a price.

Spoke to jay, They've not made it, but have done it to gauge interest. It could be made for blanks or pfc, but not cheap.... Build time would be less than a month and would be mostly metal... Wish I could afford it right now!

No way that's ever going to get beyond the drawing board. Not in a million years. As for a month turn around - no chance.
Building something like that will involve a serious up front investment. No one in their right mind is going to hand over several thousands of pounds in the hope that a fully functional and legal chain gun will be the end result. They would literally be placing blind faith in something that has never been attempted in the UK.
Then there are the legal issues. Whether it's PFC or traditional blank firing, it would need to be constructed in accordance with both the Firearms Act and the VCR Act concerning what materials it would need to use which in itself would result in the product being unbelievably expensive. Now, whilst there is currently no legal requirement to have custom made blank firers tested for legality, you can bet your Grannies teeth the powers that be will confiscate that with immediate effect and rip it to utter pieces to see if it is readily convertible.

I would like to see one, but I really doubt that it can be built for an acceptable price.
I remember a site called frontlinearmouries (or so) that offered a full metal, exact replica of a M4A1, built on order in a few weeks, in blank or pfc version years ago.
I was very interested, but information available was very little. They could only present a grainy picture that could have shown anything, from a real one, to an Airsoft gun.

MadMike - you are correct - the site was called Frontline Armouries, and it was run by a well-known and very well respected armourer and gunsmith called Steve Pearson.
He had designed and I believe patented a unique system where the gas vented from the front of the weapon, but did not allow for any projectiles to be inserted, and nor could it be readily convertible, according to tests carried out in the UK by the Home Office and the FSS.
If I recall correctly the price of an M4 was around £1500, and the original purpose of the manufacture of these was so they could be used in war games. I am not sure what happened, but perhaps the VCRA and other factors put a squeeze on the project.
I did email Mr Pearson once many years ago asking if he would be able to custom-build me a blank-firing MP5 using this system, but I did not receive a reply.
If he is still in the industry I would very much like to hear from him.

Even going by the animation, something like a PFC or blank fire mini gun shows just how complex it is.

here's a video I posted up quite some time ago of a completely home made PFC hand cranked Gatling
Just goes to show what can be done given the skills.....

Definitely, given the right skills and tools, anything is possible. I like that gatlin gun. I remember reading something in a reenactment forum years ago about how some Scottish bloke built a section 1 Gatlin gun and had it certified as Sec 1 as it was technically a single action manually operated firearm. No different than squeezing a trigger very very quickly. A mini gun though, is far more complicated. If it were to replicate the true speed of the rotating multi barrels, then I don't think a PFC round will be able to keep up.
Then there's those horrible words from the Firearms Act "shot, bullet or other missile".
NB: Why do Japanese videos always have that weird as s### cartoony music?
