Has anybody tried a real Thompson magazine to see if it will fit a Hudson Thompson?

Hi 8ace,

I have just finished adapting a real 30 round mag to fit my Hudson m1a1 and boy what a pain it was,the mag lips have to be cut and altered,a small section of the back of the mag lips has to be cut away to fit and a hell of a lot of fileing to the back seam had to be done!,it does now fit and work great but a lot of time is needed to do it.
I used a seymour product thompson mag,but others may work better i do not know.
b.t.w. the mgc thompson mags will fit and work with a lot less hassle and they are stronger than the dodgey Hudson ones.

Many thanks kickback that’s just the info I need. I'll get an MGC magazine and save the agro of modifying it.
