I read the thread about Beretta M34's and was seized with a passion to get one as I'd sold mine years ago. Deactivated though! I got this in the post today.

Hi everybody,

couldn't agree more with the title of this thread: I'm new to the forum, and within three days already placed an order of £340 with modelgunscollectors.co.uk!! (First in years...)

As my nick suggests, I succumbed to the urge to buy something HK, in this case a MGC VP70. And now I try to resist the offer to source a stock for it, too.

I think I'll save a more thorough introduction for a more civilised time of the day, and then might tell a little bit about my 'collection'.

For now: good night, Sleep
Michael

Hi Michael. You might be interested in this review. This actual gun was mine for a couple of months.

Actually, I've already read this review before ;-), looking for a clue if the TK stock will fit the MGC gun (it won't, according to the site Aliens Legacy [can't post URL yet]).
Since the grip of the TK GBB is of the newer type (no thumbs rest or finger grooves), I'm tempted to add the GBB to the collection at some point, but in this case with a CNC steel slide  and barrel.
And then there is Tanio Koba's statement that he might revisit the VP70 blowback theme if he sold more than 10000 GBB guns, so thera's another incentive to boost sales ;-)

Welcome :-)

I'm afraid you will not resist. VP70 is quite another beast with that stock :>

Thanks for the welcome, Smootik.

BTW, like your avatar. I´ve got a RAK myself, although deactivated... Except for the plump welding and milling in pristine condition, directly out of the arsenal. Nice little piece.

And for that stock... if it weren´t for the other things I´m after... HK Mod 4 (old and new version) deac, Mauser HSc, model gun and deac, P7 - preferably as a cutaway, because deactivation destroys the whole squeeze-cocking mechanism - and don´t let me start about MP5s...

Well, I guess I might just as well start here  Smile

It is an unusual pistol :-)
I chose it, as this was (and still is) the only Polish gun that was released as a model, in airsoft version in this case. Pricing is funny though! Airsoft version by Tanaka is not produced for a long time, and almost impossible to find. Prices I've seen a few years ago were in 600$ range. Meanwhile you can buy a deact for about 300$, and a live gun for 200$ (sic!). Of course you need a license for the live one.

Ah, shopping list, I bet everyone here has one, so welcome to the club :-)

Mine was more like $180 for the whole kit: gun, 3 spare mags with pouch, holster (both canvas), sling and cleaning kit/tools. Just out of the arsenal and in brand new shape (well, except for the deactivation, that is...).

if you are interested in more info on the Ręczny Automat Komandosóv, I recommend this article of an fellow countryman of yours, Leszek Erenfeicht:

Price is likely dictated by market. In Germany you have access to 9mm blankfirers and many other gun types. In Poland it is much more restricted and prices are higher. Even deact has to be registered with Police.

Thanks for bringing that article to attention!
Leszek Erenfeicht is a well-known weapons history expert here in Poland. He regularly publishes in "Strzal" ("Shot") magazine dedicated to firearms. He wrote many in-depth articles about gun history, mainly on paper though. I often refer to them when writing my reviews, to provide background on real guns development.

I'll add that link to my review:
