| I have one of these Hudson AK 47 's I bought a year or so ago but I have no blanks to go with it, if anyone in the USA could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. | |

| You will be hard pushed to find any Hudson rounds these days as since Hudson closed no one has made rounds for any of their models and you just don't see them come up 2nd hand.Your best bet is to see if you can get some of the tanio Koba rounds for the M4 he produced, they are expensive however but when nothing else is available you are stuck. you will most probably have to make a new det pin for them (the pin in the chamber that sets the round off) not sure if you would need to do anymore tinkering to get them to work (Hudson models not known for firing well without modifications). You could also try MGC 556 rounds but again hard to find as MGC went under but they do come up for sale in Japan. Rounds for all modelguns are getting hard to find its a problem for us all. | |

I might be wrong, but aren't both the MGC and the Tanio Koba based on the 5.56 / .223 cartridge, making (massive) alterations and the AK47 necessary? Like chamber, bolt head, magazine? Not to speak about fine tuning... | |

| Possibly, but as you cannot get the Hudson rounds if you want to get the thing to fire you dont really have any choice. I have a Hudson AK it fires the new round they made the aluminium one but you cannot find those for love nor money now, however even those rounds that were meant to improve the firing still took an alfull lot of work to get firing right (and a lot of skill not by me). So even with the Hudson rouds you still have play around with the damn thing. | |

| Hi Toad there might be a slim chance that forum member kharris may have some old stock of cartridges. You can contact him via Private Message here or through www.gunbroker.com using his pseudonym "Model Gun Collector USA" You'll still have a problem identifying exactly which cartridge you need as Hudson made at least 3 different AK47 cartridges. Claymore's correct, finding any new Hudson cartridges now is horrendously difficult if not impossible. He's also correct in saying that the Hudson AK47 needs extensive modifications to fire well. Even Hudson resorted to stating in their sales adverts just before closing that these models were best used as non firing display models. To give you an idea how much work IS needed to make them fire well check out: _________________ Cerwyn

| Ok it looks like no Ammo - any one want to buy it ? I don't think I can ship it out of the US with out a lot of hassles and hoops that I don't want to jump through, so a US sale only. Its in poor shape or NRA fair. | |
